A Fresh Start
I have 35 comments in my spam queue because I have not been up to doing anything with 6birds.net lately.
Within the past two days I have found a new host (I’ve been looking about three months now), and I have a list of things I’m going to purchase once a new host is gotten. It is about $250 but it is well worth it.
Firstly, Partyofme.com will have a new domain name. It will sound more professional and the name will not contain any word you can find in the dictionary. The WordPress theme will be designed by (a) professional(s), meaning they will be paid. Customer support will be paid as well.
I’m buying a new domain name. I’m keeping 6birds.net, but I’m going to put it on my new account as a redirect to the new domain name (as an addon/parked domain). I’ll save all of the pictures and a few pages. I’ll download all of the plugins I use. But I’ll start over with my blogs and comments. This new website and blog is going to define me more; I’m so tired of sitting on the sidelines.
I still owe $10 to a person that won a contest. I’ve got to create a new PayPal account and mess with the confirmation thing again and put money into it. I haven’t forgotten about you – promise.
In a way, the new hosting website will provide more space. It will focus mainly on free hosting and giving those budding bloggers and webdesigners a place with some space (least is 250MB and most with 1GB) to work. Everyone will get a cPanel. It will be better for everyone hosted with me.
In 2011 I will launch lovesmoothies.info which will redirect to i.lovesmoothies.info and be a smoothie community. You’ll see. You don’t even know the half of it!
I’m saving up at least four months in advance to have internet where I live. I’m looking at Hughes Net but I’m going to ask my mom about hers. I’m also saving up for a laptop, and really looking at laptops that come with either Verizon or AT&T internet so that I can simply pay that monthly fee and having internet virtually anywhere. Make sense? But I’m still looking. This may not happen until 2011, and I am okay with that. But that doesn’t mean I’m okay with not having a new laptop right now. Oh, NO! Stupid Dell and their old models!
